Frequently asked Questions

  • My core therapeutic approach is Person-Centered, this means that I work with you like a companion in your journey of self-discovery, at your pace. I will let you lead your own self-exploration whilst I encourage you to explore in depth and with honesty and to sit with your feelings.

  • My aim is to understand you and allow you to find autonomy to face your own challenges and be mindful of your self-worth.

  • Person-center is an approach that lets you get to your own discoveries in your own time and allows you space to get in touch with difficult feelings which may need to emerge in order for you to get to know the totality of who you are and find your own ways to deal with them.

 

  • I integrate the person-centered approach with techniques from art therapy, gestalt therapy, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), Transactional analysis, grounding and focusing techniques.

 

  • When appropriate, I will offer you support and tools to deal with certain emotions or situations which you can use by yourself outside of the session.

 

  • You will be able to understand yourself and your feelings, become more aware of your strengths and your intrinsic value. Be able to make choices that are in alignment with you.

  • In therapy you will find a warm space in which you are supported, encouraged to ground and be with yourself and your feelings at a depth that you are .
